Maliqa Abdurakhimovna Sabirova, born on May 22, 1942, in Dushanbe, was a renowned and talented ballerina. She was a People's Artist of the USSR and the recipient of the prestigious gold medal at the First International Ballet Artists Competition in Moscow, as well as numerous other awards.
