On April 8th, Sugiyama invited anyone interested in attending the feast via their Twitter account. Originally planning to consume the body parts alone, Sugiyama realized the potential for profit and later decided to charge $250 from each of the five guests (one guest ultimately declined to participate).
Legal Controversy
From a legal perspective, Sugiyama carefully adhered to existing laws and regulations, ensuring that no laws regarding organ trade, improper storage and use of medical waste, or violations of food preparation standards were violated.
