Marco Andreolli: Italian Football Legend
Early Career at Inter MilanBorn and raised in Milan, Italy, Marco Andreolli began his professional football career with Inter Milan in 2004. He made his Serie A debut in May 2005 against Reggina and went on to appear in 13 games for the Nerazzurri across all competitions, scoring one goal in the Coppa Italia.
Loan to Roma and Injury Woes
In 2007, Andreolli joined Roma in a €3 million deal. However, a back injury during the preseason prevented him from making his debut for the capital club. He was subsequently loaned out to Serie B side Vicenza in January 2008.
Debut and Misfortune at Vicenza
Andreolli made his debut for Vicenza but was forced off with an injury just three minutes into the game. Upon his recovery, he regained his place in the starting lineup but scored an own goal in a match against Chievo, leading to his removal from the team.
Return to Roma and Success at Sassuolo
Andreolli returned to Roma at the end of the season, who exercised their option to acquire the remaining 50% of his rights. In 2008, he was loaned to Sassuolo, where he scored a goal in his debut match.
Breakthrough at Roma
Andreolli returned to Roma in 2009 and made his debut in the Europa League against Gent. He scored his first goal for the Giallorossi against Fulham in October.
