Marella Agnelli, an Italian socialite, art collector, style icon, and the widow of former Fiat Chairman Gianni Agnelli, was born Princess Marella Caracciolo di Castagneto in Florence. Her father came from a noble and highly respected Neapolitan family. Marella received her education in Paris, where she developed an interest in fashion and later worked as an assistant to renowned photographer Erwin Blumenfeld in New York.

Continuing her career in the fashion industry, Marella worked for publications such as Vogue.
