Biography of Margarita Krinitsyna

Margarita Vasilyevna Krinitsyna, an actress, was born in the Urals. Her father, Vasily Krinitsyn, was a soldier, so the family traveled a lot. When Margarita was young, war came into her life. Four men from the Krinitsyn family, including Margarita's father, went to the front. The family was living in the city of Kirov at that time. Margarita's mother went to work at a military plant, and the children were left in the care of their grandmother. Despite being illiterate, the grandmother was always cheerful and found something funny in their difficult life. Margarita inherited her grandmother's comedic talent. She loved imitating adults and playing pranks. After finishing 10th grade, her friends advised her to become an actress because of her sense of humor. Although Margarita initially dreamed of becoming a lawyer, she realized that she had a talent for finding things and making people laugh.

After the war, Margarita and her family moved to Moldova, where she decided to pursue her dream of becoming an actress. She applied to the Moscow State Institute of Cinematography (VGIK) and the Vakhtangov Theatre School. She was accepted into both institutions but chose to pursue a career in film. Margarita cherished the opportunity to study with future great actors and directors, such as Alla Larionova, Nikolai Ribnikov, Tatiana Konyukhova, Nina Grebeshkova, Lyudmila Gurchenko, Marlen Khutsiev, and Grigory Chukhrai. She had a joyful and hopeful attitude towards her studies.

In her student years, Margarita lived in a small room with five other girls. They had very little furniture, but they made the best of their situation. The students were not allowed to wear makeup, so they all looked natural and beautiful. Margarita had a passion for theater but realized later in life that she missed the opportunity to become a theatrical actress. However, she had roles in several films during her studies. Margarita appeared in "Good Morning" (1955) and auditioned for the main role in Vasily Ordynsky's film "The Secret of Beauty" but did not get the role due to a missed rehearsal.

After completing her studies, Margarita married Evgeny Onoprienko, a talented Ukrainian screenwriter. They lived in Kiev, where they raised their daughter Alenka. Margarita had roles in various films and received recognition for her comedic talent. Her breakthrough role came in the film "Za Dvumya Zaytsami" (1960), where she played the character Pronya Prokopovna. The film became a cult classic and Margarita received critical acclaim for her performance. Despite facing challenges and the demanding nature of filmmaking, Margarita persevered and continued to pursue her passion for acting.

Margarita Krinitsyna's comedic talent and dedication to her craft made her a beloved actress in Ukraine. She received several awards and honors, including the title of People's Artist of Ukraine in 1996, the State Prize of Ukraine named after A. Dovzhenko in 1999, and the Order of Princess Olga in 2002. Margarita's contribution to Ukrainian cinema and her professional achievements were highly regarded. Throughout her career, Margarita valued loyalty, as she had experienced betrayal in her personal life.
