Early Life and Career

Maria Glazkova, a renowned Russian theater and film actress, was born on December 23, 1974. At the tender age of 15, she completed high school and aspired to pursue a theatrical education. However, her lack of a passport hindered her initial attempt at attending a drama institute.

Undeterred, she enrolled in the Historical and Archival Institute before gaining admission to the prestigious Moscow Art Theatre School the following year. After two years at that institution, she transferred to the Shchepkin Higher Theatre School under the tutelage of L. K. Durov.

Rise to Stardom

Glazkova's breakthrough came while performing as a member of the Malaya Bronnaya Theater troupe. Her portrayal of Katya in the play "Five Evenings" garnered critical acclaim and earned her the coveted I. Smoktunovsky Prize.

Personal Life

Maria Glazkova was married to actor Nikita Salopin, whom she met during their time at the Shchepkin Higher Theatre School.
