Early Life and Career

Born Marie Simon Pacom in Paris on July 18, 1923, the French actress and playwright began her career in a shoe store before pursuing acting at Simon's Cours. After meeting and marrying actor Maurice Ronet in 1950, she briefly retired from the stage to pursue ceramics.

Return to Acting

Despite retiring, Pacom's passion for theater remained. She resumed her career in 1958 and quickly gained recognition. She became known for her success in boulevard plays at the "Théâtre ce soir" and landed supporting roles in films such as "The Gendarme of Saint-Tropez" and "Les Corniauds."

Television and Film

Pacom also had a significant presence on television, notably in the series "Dr. Sylvestre" on France 3. In film, she often portrayed bourgeois women, a role she eventually grew tired of.

Playwriting

After leaving acting, Pacom transitioned seamlessly into playwriting. Her first success was the play "Apprends-moi, Céline." Her son, François Pacom, is also an actor, continuing the family legacy in the performing arts.
