Biography of Maria Sternikova

Maria Sternikova is a Russian actress who was born in the mid-20th century. After graduating from the Moscow Art Theatre School in 1965, where she studied under V.P. Markov, Sternikova joined the cast of the Maly Theatre. It was during this time, in the mid-60s, that she began her career in film and quickly gained recognition. She portrayed the lead roles in the films "Trains Pass By the Windows" as a literature teacher, and "Tenderness" as Lena. However, her personal life soon underwent significant changes.

Marriage and Divorce

In the mid-60s, Maria Sternikova got married and gave birth to a daughter named Katya, who later became a translator and dubbing artist. Unfortunately, the marriage was short-lived. Towards the end of the 60s, while filming the movie "Hurry Up and Build a House," Sternikova met the popular actor Valery Nosik. Their romance led to marriage. Their son, Alexander Nosik, was born in 1971. However, when he turned nine years old, Sternikova and Nosik divorced due to his alcohol abuse. Nosik's excessive drinking took a toll on his health and strained their relationship as a family.

Second Marriage and Career

After her divorce from Nosik, Maria Sternikova remarried actor Alexey Sergeevich Kudinovich, who was also a member of the Maly Theatre. Despite their divorce, Sternikova maintained a relationship with Nosik. After the birth of their two children, Sternikova's presence in the film industry declined. She occasionally appeared in films, with one of her most notable roles being Nurse Shurochka in the children's science-fiction film "Guest from the Future." However, her primary focus became her work in the theatre.

Maria Sternikova continues to act in the Maly Theatre to this day. The theatre has also showcased the talents of her son, actor Alexander Nosik, her husband Alexander Kudinovich, and her brother-in-law Vladimir Nosik.
