Early Life and Education
Elena Temnikova was born on June 9, 1983 in Moscow, Russia. At the age of three, she moved with her parents to Crimea, where she studied at the Sudak Children's Music School from the ages of six to ten. In 1993, she returned to Moscow and joined the Struve Choir. She later graduated from a music school in piano and entered the Institute of Modern Art's pop faculty at the age of 16.
Musical Journey
Temnikova's musical career began in 1999 when she started writing songs for various pop artists. She also recorded backing vocals for artists such as Inna Malikova. In 2006, she signed a contract with Maxim Fadeev's production center to join the girl group Serebro. As part of Serebro, she achieved international recognition by placing third in the Eurovision Song Contest.
Success and Departure from Serebro
Temnikova remained with Serebro until 2009, releasing the debut album "OpiumROZ" in April 2009. The group performed a sold-out concert on Poklonnaya Gora to promote the album. However, in June 2009, Temnikova left Serebro to pursue a solo career.
Art and Solo Ventures
After leaving Serebro, Temnikova dedicated herself to painting and held an art exhibition called "Sansara" in March 2009. She also released solo singles, including "Stop," which became a hit in the R&B and hip-hop charts. She continued to work on her music, releasing the single "Love Eclipse" in 2014.
Recent Years
In 2016, Temnikova returned to the music scene with the release of her debut solo album, "Temnikova 1." She has since released several more albums and singles, including "Temnikova II" (2019) and "Temnikova 3" (2021). She has also been involved in various other projects, such as acting and TV presenting.
