Mario Seidl: Austrian Nordic Combined Skier
Early CareerMario Seidl's journey in Nordic combined began at the tender age of six in 1998. He made his international debut in the Continental Cup in January 2011 and stepped onto the World Cup stage in Val di Fiemme on February 3, 2012, placing 36th.
Breakthrough
After a period of consistency, Seidl established himself as a mainstay in the Austrian national team for the 2015/2016 season. On February 4, 2017, he achieved his first World Cup podium finish in a pre-Olympic event in Pyeongchang.
World Championship Success
Later that month, Seidl showcased his talent at the 2017 FIS World Championships in Lahti. Alongside Bernhard Gruber, Philipp Orter, and Paul Gerstgraser, he secured a bronze medal in the team event. Individually, he placed fourth on the HS130 hill and 18th on the HS100 hill.
