Biography of Thomas Bing
Thomas Bing is a German skier who specializes in long-distance races. He participated in the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi and won a bronze medal in the youth world championship.
Early Career
Bing made his debut in the World Cup on December 3, 2011. In December 2013, he achieved his best career result by finishing in the top ten in the relay event. He has also ranked in the top thirty on nine occasions in individual and team races.
Career Achievements
Bing's highest overall ranking in the World Cup is 93rd, which he achieved in the 2011/12 season. In the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi, he finished 37th in the skiathlon, 32nd in the sprint, and 36th in the 50km mass start race. He has not yet participated in the World Championships.
In the 2013 youth world championship, Bing won a bronze medal in the 15km freestyle race. He has also been a multiple medalist in the junior world championship. Bing uses Rossignol skis and boots in his competitions.
