Biography of Marion Kreiner

Marion Kreiner is an Austrian snowboarder who competes in parallel giant slalom and parallel slalom events. She began her career by participating in minor competitions held in Austria or neighboring Germany. After almost five years since her first official competition, on January 26, 2002, she took part in her first World Cup stage in Krieschberg and finished 17th in snowboard cross. Two years later, she was able to secure second place in parallel giant slalom. In the following seasons, Kreiner entered the top ten several times and became a podium finisher. On October 21, 2007, she won her only World Cup stage in Solden. That season, she achieved her best overall ranking and parallel discipline ranking. Kreiner has participated in three World Championships and has won two medals - a silver in parallel slalom at the 2007 championship and a gold in parallel giant slalom at the 2009 championship.
