Early Life

Keegan Palmer was born on March 12, 2003, in San Diego, California, to Australian parents. At a young age, Palmer moved from San Diego to the Gold Coast.

Introduction to Skateboarding

Although initially drawn to surfing, Palmer began skateboarding. He quickly gained recognition for his skills, turning professional at just 14 years old.

Career Highlights

In 2017, Palmer won the Dew Tour Am Bowl final at the age of 14. He made his Dew Tour debut in 2018, finishing 7th in the final. In 2019, Palmer placed 3rd at the Dew Tour final, behind only Pedro Barros and Cory Juneau. He also finished 4th at the World Championships in São Paulo that year.

In 2020, Palmer won Skate Australia's National Park Championship. In 2021, he qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics, which was postponed for a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Olympic Gold

On August 5, 2021, Palmer won the gold medal in the men's park skateboarding event at the 2020 Tokyo Summer Olympics. His victory marked a significant achievement for skateboarding, which was making its Olympic debut.
