Biography of Mariusz Kędzierski
Early Life and Passion for ArtMariusz Konrad Kędzierski, a Polish artist born without arms, discovered his talent for drawing at the age of three. He created interesting artworks until the age of twelve, after which he took a break from his artistic pursuits. However, after undergoing a surgery in late 2008, Kędzierski returned to his beloved art.
Overcoming Disability and Pursuing Dreams
Introducing himself as a 23-year-old Polish artist, Kędzierski primarily creates realistic and hyperrealistic paintings, with most of them being portraits. He proudly mentions that his disability does not prevent him from leading an amazing life and pursuing his dreams. Kędzierski believes that art has remained his main focus for the past seven years, during which he has created over 700 drawings, dedicating approximately 15,000 hours to his craft.
Achievements and Exhibitions
In 2013, Kędzierski secured the second place in the "Best Global Artist" competition held in Vienna. He has participated in various exhibitions in cities such as Krakow, Vienna, Oxford, and Wroclaw. His artworks have been sold in many countries, including the United States, Great Britain, and South Korea. Notably, one of his drawings even appeared on the cover of a compact disc in the United States.
'Mariusz Draws': Inspiring Others
During his travels across Europe, Kędzierski worked on one of his latest projects called 'Mariusz Draws'. He created art on the streets of Berlin, Amsterdam, London, Paris, Barcelona, Marseille, Venice, Rome, and Athens. Through this project, he aims to inspire others and show them that limitations only exist in our minds.
Education and Philanthropy
Kędzierski taught himself the art of drawing and later enrolled in the design faculty at the Eugeniusz Geppert Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Wroclaw. Currently, he is studying at the Silesian University of Technology in Katowice while being under the care of the Polish Association of Janusz Korczak.
