Mark Arcobello: A Journey Through the NHL
Pre-NHL Career and Early SuccessMark Arcobello began his professional hockey career with the Edmonton Oilers in the 2014/15 season. Despite starting on the Oilers' roster, he was traded to the Nashville Predators on December 29, 2014, in exchange for forward Derek Roy.
NHL Odyssey with Multiple Teams
Arcobello's tenure with the Predators was short-lived, as he was waived by the team on January 13 and claimed by the Pittsburgh Penguins. However, he was waived again by the Penguins on February 10 and subsequently claimed by the Arizona Coyotes. This made Arcobello only the second player in NHL history to record points for four different teams in a single season.
NHL Free Agency and Move to Europe
On July 1, 2015, Arcobello signed a one-year contract worth $1.1 million with the Toronto Maple Leafs. After the 2015/16 season, he decided to explore opportunities overseas, signing with the Swiss team SC Bern on May 31, 2016.
Championship Success in Switzerland
With SC Bern, Arcobello enjoyed great success, leading the team to the Swiss championship in 2017. He played an integral role in the team's victory, showcasing his offensive skills and hockey IQ.
