Biography of Mark Dixon
Early Life and EntrepreneurshipMark Dixon is an English businessman born in Essex. He displayed his entrepreneurial spirit at a young age when he noticed a lack of fertilizers in a new residential area and began selling peat to meet the demand. At the age of 16, Mark left school and delved into entrepreneurship. He started by selling sandwiches and delivering them on a local butcher's bicycle. Unfortunately, his first attempt did not succeed, and Mark decided to travel the world. He worked as a bartender in St Tropez, a miner in Australia, worked on a farm in Asia, and sold encyclopedias.

Business Success with 'The Bread Roll Company'
Upon returning to Essex, Mark decided to give fast food trading another try. This time, luck was on his side, and the van he purchased for £600 quickly began to generate a decent income. Mark soon expanded his fleet to include seven more vans. However, the business of selling products proved to be extremely challenging, especially when it came to sourcing quality supplies. After some time, Mark established 'The Bread Roll Company,' which supplied semi-finished products to his own vans and other fast food sellers. Mark achieved significant success, and in 1988, 'The Bread Roll Company' was sold for £800,000.

Founder of 'Regus'
After relocating to Brussels, Belgium, Mark began renting out apartments. However, he soon came up with a new successful idea. Mark noticed that many local small business owners were forced to hold meetings in coffee shops, which had small tables unsuitable for serious business discussions. In 1989, he launched the project 'Regus.' By October 2000, the project was valued at around £1.5 billion, and by mid-2001, the value had increased to £2 billion. However, the dot-com crash affected Dixon's project, causing the company's stock to decline and its value to drop to £80 million.

Personal Life
Mark Dixon met his future wife, journalist Trudy Groves, in 1987, while she was working at 'Luton News.' They got married in 1987, and later had two children together. In total, Mark Dixon has five children, with two from his marriage to Trudy and three from previous relationships. Mark and Trudy divorced in 2005.
