Early Life and EducationMarsha Thomason, a British actress, was born on January 19, 1976, in Moston, Manchester, England. She is the daughter of Phyllis, an employee at a Jamaican electronics company, and Peter Thomason, who works in politics. Marsha attended St. Trinity's Primary School in Blackley before moving on to North Manchester Girls' School. She went on to study theater, media, and fine arts at Oldham Sixth Form College and earned a bachelor's degree in English language from Manchester Metropolitan University.
Acting Career
Marsha Thomason's first taste of success in British television came after appearing in series such as "Playing the Field" and "Where the Heart Is," as well as the drama project "Burn It." In the United States, she made her appearance in the Disney film "Haunted Mansion," where she played Eddie Murphy's wife. In 2003, she could be seen as Brandy in the comedy "Black Knight" and shortly after as Victoria the Maid in the fantasy film "Black Knight." She gained recognition for her role as Nessa Holt in the first and second seasons of the NBC series "Las Vegas," and as Naomi Dorrit in the hit ABC series "Lost." In total, Marsha has appeared in 47 episodes of the American crime series "Las Vegas."

Marsha Thomason recently landed the role of Naomi Dorrit in the television series "Lost." Being a friend of actor Dominic Monaghan, who portrays Charlie Pace in the series, Marsha was a big fan and gladly accepted the invitation to participate. She believes that playing a character with a transparent and unfinished personality, not knowing their ultimate nature, is quite unusual for an actor. She has also worked in series such as "Kane," "Life on Mars," "White Collar," as well as the horror film "The Traveler," the TV drama "Messiah: The Rapture," the action film "Welcome to Paradise 2: The Reef," and the lead role in the comedy "House Husbands" alongside John Hannah.
Personal Life
Marsha Thomason is a supporter of the football club Manchester City. On April 5, 2009, she married lighting technician Craig Sykes in a ceremony held in Malibu.
