At the Olympic Games in Paris, Wiesner competed in two yacht races aboard his vessel, the Aschenbr?del. In the open class race, his team secured the second position, earning him the coveted silver medal. Wiesner and his crew also emerged victorious in the second race, which featured yachts with a displacement of 1-2 tons. However, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) does not officially recognize Wiesner's victory in this race, resulting in him being credited with only one medal despite his remarkable performance.
