Biography of Mārtiņš Vilsons
Childhood and Early LifeMārtiņš Vilsons, a Latvian actor, was born on December 13th, 1954, in a barrack in the town of Transportny, Magadan Oblast. His parents, Roland Chekhovich and Zenta Vilsons, were living in exile in Siberia at that time. Mārtiņš grew up alongside his brother, Erik, who is also an actor, and his sister, Sniedze, who works as a psychologist. Unfortunately, Mārtiņš' father passed away early due to silicosis. Despite the lack of information about his childhood and youth, Mārtiņš had a strong passion for acting from a young age.

Education and Career
After finishing school, Mārtiņš began working as a stagehand in a theater. He later joined the army and was stationed in Chernihiv, where he excelled in combat training. After six months, he was transferred to the Baikal-Amur Mainline (BAM) under Tynnda. Mārtiņš has mentioned that his time in the army was challenging, with extreme weather conditions and limited access to basic necessities.
After his military service, Mārtiņš enrolled in the Theater Faculty of the Latvian Academy of Music, where he honed his acting skills. He made his debut on screen in 1983 in the detective mini-series "Mirage," based on James H. Chase's novel. This marked the beginning of his successful career in the film industry.
Mārtiņš received recognition and acclaim for his roles in various films such as "Intergirl" (1989), "The Black Magic, or a Date with the Devil" (1990), and "When the Brakes Fail" (1992). He has also appeared in popular TV series like "The Embassy" (2018) and "Outstanding Student" (2017).
Personal Life
Mārtiņš has been married five times and is currently married to his fifth wife, Zane. He has eight children from his previous marriages, and his youngest daughter was born in 2015. Mārtiņš considers Zane to be the woman he has been searching for all his life, appreciating her intelligence and accepting him for who he is.
