His parents were immigrants from the Soviet Union, so from an early age, Sasha knew not only Hebrew but also Russian and English. In 1980, the future actor moved to Canada with his family. Sasha's father, a graduate of the Tomsk Institute of Radio Electronics and Electronic Engineering, found a job in the construction and energy company CEATI International Inc., which he later went on to lead. Seeing his father, Sasha and his younger brother Ilan also aspired to become electronics specialists. However, as the years went by, both boys' preferences and dreams constantly changed. For this reason, it took our current hero quite a long time to find his true calling in life.
Career and Filmography
After finishing high school, Sasha Roiz enrolled in a Canadian college where he began studying history. During his college years, Sasha became interested in athletics, and later he even decided to become a musician. For some time, he played the drums in the indie rock band "Tricky Woo," which toured regions of Canada and even recorded three full-length albums. However, at some point, the band began to lose their direction, and slowly disbanded. In 1999, Sasha Roiz left the band and decided to find a new path in life. In the early 2000s, he attended the Guildford School of Acting in England, where he learned the basics of his new profession. His striking appearance and innate acting talent quickly earned him recognition. He gained recognition first in his acting group and then began performing on the stages of various Canadian theaters.
