Biography of Masha Sobko
Masha Sobko is a Ukrainian singer and participant of "New Wave". She was born on November 26, 1990, in Kiev. From 1997 to 2007, she studied at Gymnasium No. 315 with an in-depth study of foreign languages. She graduated with honors for her special achievements in the study of law. Masha participated in school singing competitions and sang classical and spiritual music in the folk choir "Radost" for five years.
In 2007, she enrolled in the "International Information and Law" faculty at the Institute of International Relations of the National Aviation University. In the same year, she won the program "Karaoke on the Square". Subsequently, in 2007 and 2008, she became a finalist and took third place in the TV shows "Chance-8" and "Chance-10" respectively. After completing the program "Chance-10", where she competed with the strongest singers from previous seasons, her performance of the song "Duraya Lyubov" received extensive airplay on Lux FM radio.
In 2008, Masha won the "Success Favorites" competition in the category of "Young Talent". In 2010, she became a finalist in the national selection for Eurovision. She and Alesha tied for first place with the same number of points, but the jury chose Alesha. In the same year, she took third place in the talent show "Ukraine Does Not Believe in Tears".
In 2011, Masha won the "Debut of the Year" category at the First Crystal Awards Ceremony. In the same year, she represented Ukraine at the "New Wave 2011" song contest in Jurmala, where she won second place. In 2011, she was nominated for the title of the most beautiful woman in Ukraine at the "VIVA! Most Beautiful 2011" awards.
Since October 3, 2013, Masha has been married to cinematographer Artem Oneshchak. On April 21, 2015, she gave birth to her daughter Malena.
