Matthew James Morrison, an American theater and television actor and singer, rose to fame as the star of the groundbreaking series 'Glee' on Fox. Early Life and Education
Born on October 30, 1978, at the Fort Ord military base in California, Morrison knew he wanted to become an actor from a young age. He spent a summer at a children's theater camp, which solidified his passion for the performing arts. In high school, Morrison was part of the drama club and participated in plays and musicals. He was also an accomplished athlete, playing both European and American football. He was elected as the school's president and was even crowned Prom King. After graduating from the Orange County High School of the Arts, Morrison attended the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Career
Morrison's career took off when he made his Broadway debut in the musical 'Footloose,' based on the film of the same name. He then appeared in 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show' before landing the breakthrough role of Link Larkin in the Broadway production of 'Hairspray.' For his performance, Morrison won a Grammy Award in 2003.
