Early Career and Youth SuccessMauricio Isla, a Chilean footballer renowned as a right-back, began his journey at Universidad Católica in Chile. His exceptional performance at the 2007 FIFA U-20 World Cup caught the attention of scouts from Udinese.
Udinese and Loan Spells
Signed by Udinese, Isla was immediately sent on loan to Locarno in Switzerland, where he saw no action. Upon his return to Udinese in 2008, he gradually gained playing time and became a regular starter in the 2008/09 season.
Juventus and European Success
In 2012, Isla joined Juventus but struggled to break into the starting lineup in his first season. Despite interest from other clubs like Inter Milan, Juventus retained Isla.
A New Chapter at Queens Park Rangers
On August 6, 2014, Isla departed Turin for Queens Park Rangers in the English Championship. He played a significant role in the team's promotion to the Premier League.
