Biography of Max Barskih

Max Barskih is a Ukrainian singer, composer, and songwriter. He was born on March 8, 1990, in Kherson, Ukraine. He completed his education in Kherson, graduating from the Kherson Tavria Art Lyceum as an artist. Afterward, he moved to Kyiv and enrolled in the Kyiv Municipal Academy of Variety and Circus Arts, specializing in pop vocal.

Career Beginnings

In 2008, Barskih auditioned for the talent show "Fabrika Zvyozd-2," which was produced by Natalia Mogilevskaya. During the audition, he performed cover songs of R. Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly" and Britney Spears' "Everybody." He went on to perform several songs on the show, including collaborations with Timati, Masha Fokina, Vlad Darvin, Loboda, M. Savin, Irakli, and T. Piskaryova. Barskih left the project voluntarily.

Breakthrough and Success

In 2010, Barskih participated in the show "Fabrika. Superfinal," where he presented his new composition "Student." He also auditioned for the musical film "Mademoiselle Zhivago" alongside Lara Fabian and Igor Krutoy. He played the male lead role of a Russian soldier in love with a Frenchwoman, portrayed by Lara Fabian. Barskih gained popularity in 2011 with the release of the first 3D music video in the CIS for his song "Lost In Love | Terayu tebya," directed by Alan Badoev. He continued to release successful singles and music videos, including "Atoms | Glaza-ubiitsy" and "Neznakomka."

Z.Dance and Continued Success

In 2012, Barskih participated in the selection process for Eurovision 2012 representing Ukraine. Although he ranked second, he gained recognition for his talent. That year, he released his second album, "Z.Dance," which predominantly featured songs in English. He collaborated with director Alan Badoev and his colleague Sergey Solodkyy to create a visually captivating world for the album's music videos. Barskih embarked on the Z.Dance horror musical tour, which received positive reviews.
