Early Life and Education
Maksym Nazarov, a Ukrainian radio and television presenter, was born in Pervomaisk, Mykolaiv Oblast. From 1999 to 2005, he lived and studied in Moscow before returning to Ukraine. In 2012, he graduated from the Kyiv Academy of Labor and Social Relations of the Federation of Trade Unions of Ukraine (ATISO) with a degree in law.
Radio and Television Career
Nazarov's television career began in 2008 on the regional television channel Olta. From 2009 to 2013, he worked as a program director and presenter on the Pervomaisk television channel and radio station "Tviy Vsesvit".
In 2013, he moved to Kyiv and became a presenter on Europa Plus radio. From 2015 to 2018, he worked on the NRJ radio station.
In 2015, Nazarov began hosting the morning show on the NewsOne television channel. In April 2018, he joined the "NASH" television channel due to censorship of NewsOne's editorial policy.
On "NASH", he hosted the evening talk show "Vazhlive" with co-host Angelinya Pichyk. In December 2019, he became the host of the prime-time program "Maksimum" with Maksym Nazarov, where he interviewed top Ukrainian politicians. He also hosted the weekly talk show "Pyatnitsa. Vecher" and the subjective round-up "Prosto Nazarov".
During his time on air, Nazarov had conflicts with several Ukrainian politicians. In 2021, he asked a question at a press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, after which the president displayed correspondence with a suspect in the murder of journalist Pavlo Sheremet.
Post-Channel Closure
After the closure of the "NASH" television channel and the start of the full-scale Russian invasion of Ukraine, Nazarov created the YouTube project "Da, eto tak" with co-host Yaroslava Maslova.
Film and Television Appearances
In 2019, Nazarov portrayed a television presenter in the television series "Solenaya Karamel" with Maria Mashkova in the leading role. He also appeared in the television series "Sluga Naroda", where he narrated on screen about the successes of Vasyl Holoborodko's (Volodymyr Zelensky's) presidency.
