Biography of Maxim Vitorgan

Maxim Vitorgan is a Russian actor and director. He was born on September 10, 1972, into a family of well-known Soviet actors, Emmanuel Vitorgan and Alla Balter. In 1993, Maxim graduated from GITIS and was accepted into MTYUZ, where he performed in classical plays such as "The Storm" and "The Execution of the Decembrists".
In 1999, Maxim Vitorgan joined the Lenkom Theater, where he appeared in productions like "Cruel Games," "The Wise Man," and "Sex, Lies, and Videotape." Two years later, he became a member of the Moscow Art Theatre named after Chekhov, performing in plays such as "Antigone," "Ju," "A Light Taste of Betrayal," "Quantity," and "Crime and Punishment".
In 2004, he ventured into television directing, working on shows like "NeGoluboy Ogonok" on REN-TV and "First Night with Oleg Menshikov" on NTV. He was also one of the organizers of the "Nashestvie" festival.
Since 1994, Maxim has appeared in numerous films, gaining recognition for his roles in "Election Day" and "Radio Day". Since 2007, he has been involved as a director and actor in the sketch comedy show "Distant Relatives" on REN-TV.
In 2008, he directed the sketch comedy show "Women's League" on TNT. In 2009, he directed the play "Who" at the "Drugo Theatre".
In 2011, Maxim was awarded the "Living Theatre" audience award for Best Director for his play "Who" at the "Drugo Theatre".

Maxim also has experience in directing theatre productions such as "Closer," "Can't Go, Can't Stay," "Just a Little About Women," and "The Storm" at MTYUZ.

In 2005, he appeared in the music video for the song "Medlenaya Zvezda" by the band BI-2, and in 2011, he appeared in Vasya Oblomov's music video for the song "Pismo Schastya".
