Biography of Meg Myers
Meg Myers is a young American singer-songwriter from Los Angeles, California, who is considered one of the most promising musicians in the United States today by many critics. Born on December 1, 1992, in a small town in the mountains of Tennessee, Meg spent the first part of her life as a witness of Jehovah, a prominent religious organization. However, in her conscious years, she dedicated herself to music, which led her to Los Angeles and opened up wide opportunities for her.
With her incredible vocal abilities and poetic talent, Myers writes songs that captivate listeners. Her music combines anger at the world and life, but the sharp edges are softened by warm sounds and her rich voice. Critics confidently label her as one of the most promising artists in the indie rock scene of the United States.
In 2011, Myers signed two contracts with the labels '[GOOD]CROOK' and 'Atlantic Records' and released her first EP, "Daughter In The Choir." In February 2014, she presented her second work, "Make a Shadow." The success of her albums can be attributed to the personal stories that can be traced in each verse and chord, which resonates with young listeners who can relate to their own experiences.
Meg moved to Los Angeles, California, after finishing school, hoping to fulfill her lifelong dream of becoming a professional singer. Initially, she performed in small clubs and bars, but over time, she met musicians who were deeply interested in similar projects. Together with producer Doctor Rosen Rosen, Myers wrote several songs that made it onto her debut EP, "Daughter In The Choir." One of the songs from the album was featured on the late-night show "Last Call with Carson Daly." Her song "Monster" from the same album remains one of her most popular songs.
Entertainment Weekly dedicated a small article to Myers' work, acknowledging that she possesses everything that young listeners expect from a talented artist. In early February 2014, she released her second album, "Make a Shadow," under the label 'Atlantic Records.' The album was also available for download on the official 'iTunes' store. Following the release, Myers performed a series of concerts in the United States and expressed her desire to work on her debut studio album as her next project.
