Biography of Melanie Milburn

Melanie Milburn, an Australian writer, was born on a small farm near Sydney. From a young age, she was passionate about horses and horseback riding. She took care of the animals, participated in competitions, and even sustained several serious injuries. In school, Melanie dreamed of becoming a nurse, but she discovered that she couldn't handle the sight of blood (although it didn't stop her from marrying a surgeon later on).

At the age of 17, Melanie came across her first book from the famous publishing house 'Mills&Boon'. After reading it, she developed a new dream: to meet a dark-haired handsome man who would fall madly in love with her. In anticipation of her romantic hero, Melanie enrolled in university. The dark-haired beauty didn't take long to appear, and on their second date, he proposed to her. The young couple moved to Scotland, where Melanie's husband could combine his medical practice with his studies. They had two children and eventually settled in Hobart, a beautiful city on the fertile island of Tasmania.

Once her children grew older and started school, Melanie resumed her interrupted studies at the university and obtained a bachelor's degree. It seemed like all her goals had been achieved – a loving husband, beautiful children, and an education. However, the realization of her lifelong dream was still ahead.

In order to complete her Master's thesis, Melanie had to give a lecture on literary theory, with a particular focus on the romance genre. Before the lecture, she decorated the room with hearts, placed roses in the corner, and opened a bottle of champagne. As Melanie read aloud a paragraph from a popular romance novel, the doors suddenly swung open. Her husband entered the room dressed in a tuxedo. He gazed intensely at his pale wife with his piercing dark eyes, lifted her up, and kissed her before silently leaving. The lecturer awarded Melanie Milburn the highest grade, and her classmates couldn't help but look at her with jealous eyes.

After receiving such confirmation of her literary skills, Melanie realized that her main dream in life was to write romantic novels. She wrote her first novel in 2005, and since then, she has published about 60 works, with approximately 20 of them translated into Russian. Readers unanimously praise Melanie Milburn's "light touch" in her writing, even claiming that some of the Russian translations surpass the originals. The highest-rated novel, "Bought For The Marriage Bed," tells an intriguing story about an Italian macho man and a woman hiding her true identity. Other highly acclaimed works include "The Charming Adventuress" and "My Beloved Enemy."

Melanie Milburn's achievements in life extend beyond literature. She is also passionate about athletics, particularly long-distance running. Despite growing up far from the ocean, she learned how to swim as an adult. However, this did not prevent her from achieving remarkable results. Melanie has set several state records and officially ranks among the top ten strongest Australian swimmers. The writer believes that anyone can learn anything if they have a strong desire and put in the effort. Her motto is: "Don't say 'I can't,' say 'I will try.'"
