Early Life and Career
British racing driver ___, born to a British military officer serving in Egypt, began his passion for racing in amateur events. In 1969, with support from stockbrokers Ralph Clark and David Mordaunt, he made his debut in the ShellSport Formula 3 Championship, where he later secured third place in 1970.
Formula 1 and Formula 2
In 1971, ___ embarked on a dual racing trajectory in both Formula 1 and Formula 2 Championships. While his Formula 1 appearances in four races yielded mixed results, including two retirements and a disqualification, he triumphed in the Formula 2 race at Vallelunga towards the end of the season. He continued to compete in both series until 1973, earning two further podium finishes in Formula 2 but facing challenges in securing significant points in Formula 1.
