Biography of Michael Brandon

Michael Brandon was born as Michael Feldman on April 20, 1945, in Brooklyn, New York. His mother, Miriam Tumen, and his father, Sol Feldman, raised him along with his brother Elliot and sister Debra Lynne. At the age of nine, he moved with his family to Valley Stream, New York, where he attended Memorial Junior High School and later Valley Stream Central High School.

Acting Career

Michael Brandon's acting career has included a variety of roles in both television and theater. He appeared in the TV series "Dempsey and Makepeace" as Lieutenant James Dempsey and played Frank Scott in "Dinotopia: The New Adventures." He also acted in films such as "F.M." (1978), "A Vacation In Hell" (1979), and "A Change of Seasons" (1980).

In February 2008, Brandon started his own radio talk show called "City Talk" on a local radio station in Liverpool, UK. He also provided voice-over work for various projects, including the American version of the animated series "Thomas & Friends." Brandon voiced the series until 2007 when Pierce Brosnan took over the role. However, Brandon continued to perform other voice-over work and remains known for his involvement in the children's project.

Personal Life

In the early 1970s, Michael Brandon dated actress Kim Novak. From 1976 to 1979, he was married to actress Lindsay Wagner, known for her role as Jaime Sommers in "The Bionic Woman." Currently, Brandon is in a relationship with actress Glynis Barber, who co-starred alongside him in the series "Dempsey and Makepeace." They have a son named Alexander Max Brandon, born in November 1992.

Brandon divides his time between London and Los Angeles. In 2011, he appeared in the supporting role of Senator Brandt in the action film "Captain America: The First Avenger" directed by Joe Johnston.
