Early Career

Tennis and Formula Vee Debut

Keke Rosberg began his sporting journey in tennis, representing Finland in the Davis Cup qualifiers in 1968. In the same year, he switched to motorsport and made his debut in the Finnish Formula Vee championship. By 1970, he had progressed to the European Formula 3 championship.

Formula Super Vee and Formula 2

European Success and German Vice-Championship

From 1971 to 1975, Rosberg competed in the European Formula Super Vee championship. He notched four victories in 1975 and became the German Formula Super Vee vice-champion. In 1976, he made his debut in the European Formula 2 championship, driving for ATS and later Project Four Racing. However, his stint in Formula 2 was unsuccessful, and he withdrew three races before its conclusion.

Formula Pacific and Formula 1

Pacific Championship and Grand Prix Debut

In 1977, Rosberg moved to the Formula Pacific championship. He also made two Formula 1 Grand Prix appearances, crashing in pre-qualifying at the British Grand Prix and failing to qualify in Sweden.

Team Tiga and Retirement

Formula 1 Ambition Halted

In 1978, Rosberg joined Team Tiga, which planned to debut in Formula 1. However, the team's car development was discontinued, and Rosberg's racing career came to an end.

Post-Retirement

Management of Son's Career

In the 1990s, Rosberg transitioned to management and guided his son, Nico, in his own racing career.
