Early Life and Education
Nikolai Krivoshlykov was born into a blacksmith's family. In 1909, he enrolled in the Don Agricultural School with state funding. Excelling in his studies, he edited the student journal "First Steps." After graduating, he served as an agronomist in the Salsky district.
Military Service and Revolutionary Activism
With the outbreak of World War I, Krivoshlykov joined the army. Unable to afford a horse (required for Cossack soldiers), he initially served as a commander of pedestrian reconnaissance. He later attended the Novocherkassk Cossack Military School and was assigned as a commander of a hundred.
After the February Revolution, Krivoshlykov emerged as a leading figure in the revolutionary Cossack movement. He was elected chairman of the regimental committee and a member of the committee for the 5th Don Cossack Division.
Don Soviet Republic
In April 1918, Krivoshlykov became the Commissioner for Management in the government of the Don Soviet Republic. He participated in the mobilization expedition led by Fyodor Podtelkov, where he was arrested and executed by White Cossacks in May 1918.
