Biography of Michael Lucas

Michael Lucas, a former model and porn mogul known as the "King of Gay Porn," is a Russian, Israeli, and American actor and director of gay adult films. He is the founder and CEO of "Lucas Entertainment," the largest gay porn producer in New York City.

Support for Israel

In addition to his work in the adult film industry, Lucas is also known for his support of Israel. He has filmed several movies in Israel, including the "Men of Israel" series, which gained attention as the first gay adult film in Israel featuring exclusively Israeli actors. The Israeli newspaper Yedioth Ahronoth described it as a groundbreaking film, while the Los Angeles Times noted it as the first of its kind with a completely Jewish cast.

Early Life and Career

Michael Lucas, born Andrei Treivas, was born in Moscow in 1972 to an engineer father, Lev Bregman, and a Russian language and literature teacher mother, Elena Treivas. He graduated from the Moscow State Law University in 1994 and subsequently opened a travel agency, which he owned until 1995. He then left Russia and spent the next two years in Munich, Germany, and France before settling in New York City in 1997. On November 12, 2004, Lucas became a naturalized American citizen.

Personal Life

In October 2008, Lucas announced his marriage to Richard Winger. However, they divorced in 2014.

"La Dolce Vita"

In 2006, Lucas directed a two-part film called "Michael Lucas' La Dolce Vita," which served as a pornographic remake of Federico Fellini's iconic film of the same name. The film received numerous accolades at the GayVN Awards, winning in all the categories it was nominated for. In 2007, International Media Films, Inc., the rights holder of Fellini's "La Dolce Vita," filed a lawsuit demanding the cessation of Lucas' film sales and compensation for copyright infringement. However, in 2010, the court ruled in favor of Lucas, as there are many pornographic films that parody traditional cinema without violating the law.
