Michał Żewłakow
Early Career in PolandMichał Żewłakow was born in Warsaw, Poland, in April 1976. He began his professional career with Polonia Warsaw, making his debut in 1993. After a brief loan spell at Hutnik Warsaw, Żewłakow returned to become a regular starter for Polonia.
Career in Belgium
In October 1998, Żewłakow was sent on loan to Belgian club Beveren. He later joined Mouscron with his twin brother, Marcin, for a combined fee of €485,000. Żewłakow became a key player for Mouscron, helping them reach the 2002 Belgian Cup final.
International Career
Michał Żewłakow played for the Polish national team, making his debut in 1999. He was part of the squad for the 2002 and 2006 FIFA World Cups, earning a record-breaking 102 caps for Poland. His twin brother, Marcin, also played for the national team as a striker.
