Biography of Miguel Jose Ferrer
Miguel Jose Ferrer, an American actor, was born on February 7, 1955, in Santa Monica, California. He was the eldest of five children in a family that included his Puerto Rican father, Oscar-winning actor Jose Ferrer, and American singer Rosemary Clooney. His siblings, Maria, Gabriel, Monita, and Rafael, are also involved in the film industry.
Rise to Fame
Ferrer grew up in Hollywood and developed a passion for music during his teenage years. He played drums on Keith Moon's album "Two Sides of the Moon" and was later invited by his friend Will Robinson from the band "Jenerators" to appear in the TV series "Sunshine." This marked the beginning of Ferrer's acting career in the early 1980s.
Notable Roles
Ferrer's breakout role came in 1987 when he portrayed drug lord Bob Morton in the action film "RoboCop." This performance led to more opportunities, and he quickly became known for his portrayal of witty and charismatic villains. Some of his most memorable roles include a dark biker in "Valentino Returns" (1988), a scientist in "DeepStar Six" (1989), General Harbinger in the comedy "Hot Shots! Part Deux" (1993), Richard Dees in Stephen King's "The Night Flier" (1997), and Eduardo Ruiz in "Traffic" (2000).
Television Work
In addition to his film roles, Ferrer appeared in several television series. He played District Attorney Todd Sparrira in "Shannon's Deal" (1989-1991), Cajun cop Bo Jack Bauman in "Broken Badges" (1990-1991), and FBI Special Agent Albert Rosenfield in "Twin Peaks" (1990-1991). He reprised his role as Albert in the film continuation of the series, "Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me" (1992). Ferrer also portrayed Dr. Garrett Macy in the crime drama series "Crossing Jordan" (2001-2007).

Outside of his acting career, Ferrer provided voices for video game characters in "Halo 2" and "BioShock." Ferrer has been married twice. He was previously married to actress Leilani Sarel, with whom he has two sons, Lucas and Rafael. From his marriage to Kate Dornan, he has a son named Jose Robert. Since 2005, Ferrer has been married to Lori Weintraub. In his free time, he enjoys playing golf and skiing, and he regularly participates in a charity golf tournament for the Children's Hospital at the University of California, Los Angeles. Additionally, he still finds time to perform with the band "Jenerators" at a local club.
