Early Life and Education
- Born on August 15, 1931, in Tbilisi, Georgia

- Graduated from the Gnessin State Musical and Pedagogical Institute in 1957, where he studied composition under Aram Khachaturian

- Made his debut at the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory with his romances, performed by Zara Dolukhanova

The Opera Era

- "Who Are You" (1964):Launched the aesthetics of Boris Pokrovsky's chamber theater
