She went on to win silver, bronze, and gold in the super-G, giant slalom, and slalom events respectively in the Nor-Am Cup. On December 29, 2011, Shiffrin stood on the podium for the first time in a World Cup race, finishing third in the slalom event in Lienz, Austria.

In the 2014 season, she achieved a personal best of 6th place in the giant slalom event in Sölden, Austria.
