Biography of Mike Schroepfer
Mike Schroepfer is an American entrepreneur and programmer who has made significant contributions to the tech industry. Born on February 1, 1975, in Florida, United States, Schroepfer's passion for computers began during his time at Spanish River Community High School. He further pursued his interest by studying computer science at Stanford University, where he earned his bachelor's degree in 1997 and master's degree in 1999.

During his time in graduate school, Schroepfer started working with computers, first as a software specialist at Puffin Designs and later as a consultant at Reactivity, Inc. In 2000, shortly after completing his studies, he founded his own company called CenterRun, which focused on software development. As the head of the technical department, Schroepfer quickly propelled the company to become a leader in the market, attracting attention from competitors and larger companies.

In November 2003, it was announced that Sun Microsystems, one of the largest computer companies in the United States, would acquire Schroepfer's company. Following the acquisition, Schroepfer took on the role of Chief Technology Officer. However, his career took another turn in 2005 when he joined Mozilla Corporation as the head of the technical department.
During his time at Mozilla Corporation, Schroepfer played a pivotal role in the development and promotion of the Mozilla Firefox browser. He became one of the most influential figures in the Internet industry, advocating for the browser's support on mobile platforms. Schroepfer's vision and leadership helped regain lost market share and expand the browser's user base beyond just computer specialists and programmers.
In 2008, Schroepfer was invited to join Facebook, where he assumed a prominent technical leadership position. His contributions to the mobile technology sector earned him a spot on the list of the 25 Most Influential People in Mobile Technology in 2008, ranking 20th. He continues to work at Facebook and resides in San Francisco, California.
