Biography of Miklós Kalocsai

Miklós Kalocsai was a Hungarian actor known for his roles as a romantic hero. He graduated from the Academy of Theatre Arts and began his career at the Madách Theatre in 1973. One of his early roles was Romeo, which defined his future roles as a lover.

In 1980, Miklós Kalocsai joined the Várszínház Theatre and became an actor of the National Theatre in 1982. As he grew older, he preferred to play ironic and humorous characters. Hoping for a change in his repertoire, he joined the Seged National Theatre in 1989, and later the Independent Stage under the direction of József Rosta.

Miklós Kalocsai also appeared in several Hungarian films, but gained recognition from Soviet audiences for his role as the charming and tactful test driver, László, in the melodrama "Vacation on One's Own Account" directed by Viktor Titov. The film showcased his talent and charisma.

Sadly, Miklós Kalocsai passed away in 1991 as a result of a car accident. His premature death prevented the further development of his talent and left a void in the world of Hungarian acting.
