Early Career and Debut at Tottenham Hotspur
Born in Switzerland to Serbian parents, Milos Veljkovic began his footballing journey at the academy of Swiss giants FC Basel. In 2011, he moved to England and joined the youth setup of Premier League club Tottenham Hotspur. On April 7, 2014, Veljkovic made his first-team debut for Tottenham, coming on as a substitute against Sunderland.
Loan Spell at Middlesbrough
Seeking regular playing time, Veljkovic temporarily joined Championship side Middlesbrough on a three-month loan in October 2014. He made his debut in a 5-1 victory over Millwall on December 6.
Transfer to Werder Bremen
In January 2016, Veljkovic transferred to German Bundesliga club Werder Bremen, signing a three-and-a-half-year contract for a reported fee of €300,000. He has since established himself as a regular in their defense.
International Career
Veljkovic has represented Serbia at various youth levels. In 2013, he was part of the victorious U-19 team that won the European Championship, where he played every game in the tournament. Two years later, he was crowned world champion with the U-20 squad in New Zealand.
