Early Career and BreakthroughMiltiadis Tentoglou is a Greek track and field athlete specializing in the long jump. His rise to prominence began in 2016 when he earned a silver medal at the World Junior Championships.
Domestic and European Success
In 2017, Tentoglou set a personal record of 8.30 meters at the Greek Championships in Patras. He followed this up by winning the European Junior Championship title in Grosseto with a jump of 8.07 meters. In 2018, he triumphed at the Balkan Championships in Stara Zagora with an impressive 8.17 meters.
European Champion
The pinnacle of Tentoglou's early career came at the 2018 European Championships in Berlin. Despite having a modest qualifying distance, he leapt to an astonishing 8.25 meters, earning him the European Championship title.
Indoor and Olympic Glory
In 2021, Tentoglou added another European Championship title to his collection, this time in the indoor edition held in Toruń, Poland. He soared 8.35 meters to become a two-time European indoor champion.
Olympic Triumph
