Brigadier General: A Respected Iranian Military Leader
Brigadier General was a distinguished Iranian military officer who served as the Commander of the Ground Forces of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) from 2008 to 2009. Prior to this role, he held the position of Deputy Commander of the IRGC Ground Forces.
Suppression of Student Unrest
In 1999, Brigadier General played a significant role in the suppression of student protests in Tehran. Amidst the unrest, he signed a letter along with 24 other IRGC officers addressed to President Mohammad Khatami. The letter expressed concern over the handling of the situation and disapproval of the military's involvement in containing the demonstrations.
