Manna Lee, born on October 30, 1981, in Kansas City, USA, is an American track and field athlete, best known for her achievements in short-distance running. From a young age, Manna displayed a strong athletic aptitude and experimented with various sports before ultimately choosing track and field. Originally living in Little Rock, her family relocated to Kansas City in 1989, where Manna, like her brother, pursued swimming and basketball. During her time in school, she led her basketball team to the finals multiple times and became the top short-distance runner in the state competitions.
Rising Career
In 2000, Manna Lee emerged as the fastest junior athlete, which led to numerous opportunities to compete in national and international championships. After completing high school, Manna enrolled at the University of Louisiana, where she became the most decorated athlete in the institution's history. During her first year, she won the NCAA championship in the 4x100-meter relay. In the following years, she consistently occupied top positions in intercollegiate championships, gaining a reputation as the fastest and most enduring athlete in the United States.
Olympic Journey
In 2004, Manna Lee participated in the Olympic trials in Athens. After the final race, she was seen in an embrace with Olympic medalist Mirosa Green. While some speculated about their relationship, Manna explained that she is a highly emotional person. In 2008, just before the qualifying competitions in Beijing, Manna was involved in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. She sustained a shoulder injury, which affected her subsequent training.
