Biography of Murad Sarkisyan

Murad Frunzikovich Sarkisyan (Sargsyan) was born on May 27, 1959, in Yeghegnadzor, Armenian SSR, and passed away on April 8, 2006, in Moscow. He was the former CEO of the Restoration and Construction Concern "Lusine."

Education and Early Career

From 1980 to 1986, Sarkisyan completed his studies at the Yerevan Institute of National Economy, specializing in "National Economy Planning." He also served in the Soviet Army from 1977 to 1979.

After his military service, Sarkisyan worked as a lathe operator at the Kanaker Aluminum Plant from 1979 to 1980 and as a locksmith at the "Electrocontactors" plant from 1980 to 1981. He then became the shift supervisor at the Yerevan Ceramic Products Plant from 1981 to 1988 and the section chief at the Yerevan "Shinanyut" plant from 1988 to 1989.

Entrepreneurial Success

In 1990, Sarkisyan became the deputy director of the newly formed enterprise "Shinanyut" and later founded and led the new company "Lusine" from 1992 to 1997. In 1998, the company was reorganized into the Restoration and Construction Concern "Lusine," and Sarkisyan became its CEO.

During his tenure, Sarkisyan attracted and united a team of approximately 100 highly skilled and talented specialists. The company successfully completed over 20 projects of national importance, including the restoration of notable buildings such as the A.I. Musin-Pushkin Estate "Valuevo," the Morozov Mansion on Novokuznetskaya Street, the Glazunov House interiors on Novinsky Boulevard, and the Russian Academy of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture complex on Myasnitskaya Street.

Achievements and Recognition

Sarkisyan's contributions to the field of information technology were recognized when he was elected as a full member of the International Academy of Informatization. In 1999, he was awarded the Golden Medal "For Merits in Informationology" by the International Academy of Informatization. In 2000, he became a full member of the Academy of Sciences of International Relations.

Personal Life

Murad Sarkisyan's mother is Rita Levonovna Sarkisyan (born in 1933), and his father was Frunzik Abovovich Sarkisyan (1931—1995). He was married to Anna Pushkinovna Sarkisyan (born in 1964), and they had two children, Lusine (born in 1983) and Arevik (born in 1985).
