Mindy Kaling (born as Mindy Christ) is an American actress and film producer. She was born in Detroit, Michigan, but grew up and attended school in Marina, California.

Career

Mindy made her television debut in 1995, playing the role of Gail in the episode "Legal Briefs" of the sitcom "Living Single." From 1999 to 2000, she portrayed Valerie Page in the medical drama "ER." Throughout her career, she has appeared in over 40 films and television shows.
