Vasile Tarlev, the former Prime Minister of the Republic of Moldova, appointed Mihail Mihailovici Gaigauz as his Minister of Transport and Road Infrastructure.
Early Life and Military Career
Mihail Gaigauz was born in 1969. After graduating high school, he enrolled at the Odessa Railway College in 1973. He served in the Soviet Army from 1973 to 1975.
Political Career
Gaigauz's ministerial tenure lasted from April 19, 2005, to January 23, 2007. On December 16, 2009, he resigned from this position and was appointed as the Chief Engineer of the Service of Traffic.
Current Role
Mihail Gaigauz currently serves as the Director of the state-owned enterprise "Moldova's Railway."
