Biography of Nana Visitor

Nana Visitor, born on July 26, 1957 in New York City, USA, is an American film and television actress. Her birth name is Nana Tucker. Her mother, Ninette Charisse, worked as a ballet teacher, and her father, Robert Tucker, was a choreographer. Nana has a brother named Ian and a sister named Zan, both of whom later became actors.

Early Career

Nana's career began in the late 1970s on Broadway in the production "My One and Only." Shortly after, she appeared in two television series, "The Doctors" and "One Life to Live." In 1977, she made her film debut in "The Sentinel." She then went on to star in numerous television series, including "The Twilight Zone," "Alfred Hitchcock Presents," "Murder, She Wrote," and "Matlock."

Star Trek: Deep Space Nine

Nana Visitor's most successful role came in the television series "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine." She played one of the main characters in the show, which ran for seven years. During her time on the series, Nana became pregnant, causing the director to face a dilemma. One episode was filmed without her, but just two weeks after giving birth, Nana returned to the set and resumed her work. Her performance in the series earned her the award for Best Female Role from "Sci-Fi Universe Magazine" in 1995.

Later Career

After the end of "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine," Nana Visitor continued to work in television and appeared in series such as "Frasier," "Burke's Law," "The Outer Limits," and "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation." She also had a successful role in the series "Dark Angel" alongside the rising star Jessica Alba.

Personal Life

Nana Visitor has been married three times. She had a son named Buster from her first marriage to actor Nick Miscusi. In 1997, she married actor Alexander Siddig, and they had a son named Django El Tahir El Siddig. They divorced in 2001. In 2003, Nana married entrepreneur Matthew Rimmer. They currently reside in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
