Born on January 7, 1956, in Sverdlovsky district, Zhambyl regionGraduated from the Kazakh Polytechnic Institute named after V. I. Lenin in 1978
Completed advanced courses at the KGB USSR in Minsk and Moscow in 1982
Career in the KGB
Began employment as an engineer at the KazNII "Gidrofosfor" institute in 1978
Worked in the KGB USSR in Stavropol from 1982 to 1986, holding various positions
Returned to Kazakhstan to work in the KGB Kazakh SSR from 1986 to 1994, holding senior roles
Rise in the National Security Committee
Appointed Deputy Head of the Organizational Inspectorate Department, Committee of National Security of Kazakhstan (KNB) in 1994
Subsequently became Head of the Department of Prospective Development at KNB
