On April 1, 2003, Natalia began her long-running career as a soap opera actress in the role of Emily Quartermaine on the ABC channel's "General Hospital." Her outstanding performance in this role earned her a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 2005. She left the show in November 2007 after her character was written out, but her on-screen presence continued through hallucinations experienced by a lovesick character named Nicholas, played by Tyler Christopher. Natalia officially departed from the show on May 7, 2008.

In addition to her soap opera work, Natalia has appeared in films such as "Big Fat Liar," "Hired Help," "Popstar," "Brooklyn Rules," and more recently, "Fight or Flight" and "Rough Hustle." From January 15 to December 22, 2009, she returned to "General Hospital" as the character Rebecca Shaw.

Interestingly, Natalia discovered signs of breast cancer through a self-examination after watching an episode of Oprah Winfrey's talk show that discussed the disease. Following the method shown in the program, she found evidence of a benign tumor.

At one point, Natalia was in a relationship with another "General Hospital" soap opera star, Tyler Christopher.
