Natalie Darwitz: A Hockey Legend
Hockey RootsNatalie Darwitz's journey on ice began at the tender age of five. Now, at twenty-six, she stands as a seasoned veteran of the United States National Team. Over the past decade, Darwitz has graced the ice at three Winter Olympics, claiming medals in eight World Championships, with both gold and silver to her credit.

National Success
Darwitz emerged as a standout player at the University of Minnesota, where she played on three NCAA national championship teams. She scored the game-winning goal in her final match against Harvard (4-3), earning herself the title of Most Outstanding Player of the Frozen Four and the Patty Kazmaier Award as the top female college hockey player in the nation.

Professional Journey
In 2006-2007, Darwitz played for the Minnesota Whitecaps of the Western Women's Hockey League, earning the title of Most Valuable Player. In 2008, she was recognized as one of the world's top forwards by the International Ice Hockey Federation.

International Accolades
Darwitz has received numerous awards throughout her career, including the prestigious Bob Johnson Award as the "most outstanding male or female U.S. player participating in international competition." This honor is named after one of the United States' most celebrated hockey coaches, Bob "Badger" Johnson.

Coaching and Leadership
Darwitz brings her expertise and passion to future generations through her coaching roles. As an assistant coach to her father at Eagan High School in Minnesota, she helped guide the team to its first state championship in four years during the 2007-2008 season. Off the Ice
Beyond the rink, Darwitz is an avid outdoorswoman who enjoys boating on Minnesota lakes and surfing in Southern California and Mexico with her boyfriend, Chris. Despite the need to maintain a strict fitness regimen, she indulges in her father's homemade cheeseburgers.
Personal Life
Darwitz is the youngest of three children and cherishes her close bond with her parents, Scott and Nancy Darwitz, who remain her most loyal and enthusiastic supporters.
